BAPS hosted community forums regarding possible 8th Grade Academy

Broken Arrow Public Schools hosted two community forums on April 28 and May 3 at Sequoyah Middle School regarding possible plans to open an 8th Grade Academy in the 2024 school year.

“A new middle school was approved within the 2015 bond issue, and in reviewing the needs of our students over the past year, it has been determined that an 8th Grade Academy will accommodate our growing student body better than a traditional middle school for students in grades 6-8,” said Deputy Superintendent Dr. Karla Dyess.

The May 3 forum was live streamed and recorded. The recording can now be viewed on the district's YouTube channel using this link.
