Academic Showcase highlights program/course offerings for grades 9-12
At Broken Arrow Public Schools, students typically select their courses every February for the next school year. Below are a number of presentations and videos highlighting program opportunities that will help students make informed decisions about high school course selection and post-graduation pathways. Dual (Concurrent) Enrollment Program
Dual (Concurrent) enrollment is an alliance between Broken Arrow Public Schools, Tulsa Community College and Northeastern State University in Broken Arrow. Through this program, junior and senior students can attend college courses during the school day through TCC at NSU-BA and receive both high school credit and college credit.
Seniors receive 18 credit hours of tuition waiver for the year, and juniors receive 12 credit hours of tuition waiver for the year. Students pay for class fees. Transportation is provided by Broken Arrow Public Schools to and from the NSU-BA campus.

Early College High School
Incoming freshmen and sophomores can participate in a program called Early College High School. This program allows students to take high school level courses on the Northeastern State University-Broken Arrow campus while simultaneously equipping them to successfully undertake college coursework upon completion of 10th grade.
Benefits include peer/study groups, a smaller learning environment, ease of college enrollment, easier transition after high school, increase in college grades and more focused support for college entrance scores. All courses will be taught by Broken Arrow teachers. Students in athletics and fine arts are able to participate and still meet necessary requirements.
Administrators from Early College High School is hosting an informational forum on Jan. 18 and Feb. 1, 2024, about the benefits of Early College High School for current 8th graders and their parents. This forum will take place in the auditorium at Northeastern State University in Broken Arrow, 3100 New Orleans Street.
Options Academy
The Broken Arrow Options Academy was created to better meet the needs of Broken Arrow students who have struggled to find success in traditional classrooms. This program offers students an alternative learning environment with lower student/teacher ratios, innovative teaching techniques, greater access to counseling services and more individualized course study. Students that come to the BA Options Academy have made a commitment that their education is their priority.
There is an application and interview process to attend BA Options Academy. Interested students need to contact their school site counselor.
Pre-AP & AP
Broken Arrow Public Schools offers many classes for grades 9-12 that focus on advanced curriculum and provide students with postsecondary learning experiences while they are in high school, allowing students to earn college credit in some instances.
Project Pathways
Through the Project Pathways program, students are connected to a possible career path based on their personal interests, abilities and strengths. Aligned with Career Tech and higher education degree programs, Broken Arrow Public Schools career pathways are an integrated collection of curriculum and programs that provide students with a roadmap for future success and an easy-to-read plan of study.
As part of this program, Broken Arrow Public Schools provides options for students to choose courses that would provide the most benefit as they transition into a college major or degree, technical certification or desired occupation in the workforce.

Tulsa Tech
Tulsa Tech is the largest technology center in Oklahoma’s nationally-acclaimed CareerTech system. Tulsa Tech provides affordable, industry-standard technical training in an engaging, innovative learning environment where students benefit from instructors with years of valuable industry experience.
Broken Arrow students in grades 9 or 10 can enroll in Intro to Engineering and/or Foundations of Manufacturing on the Broken Arrow High School campus. These classes are taught by a Tulsa Tech instructor. Students in grades 11-12 can apply to Tulsa Tech and are able to attend up to three class periods on any local Tulsa Tech campus. Seniors can apply for a full-time program, and tuition is free for one full-time program until the age of 23 by applying for the Accelerating Independence Scholarship.
Vanguard Academy
Vanguard Academy of Broken Arrow is the district's state-of-the-art innovation facility, located near Broken Arrow High School at 3000 E. Albany Street. The Vanguard Academy is ideal for students who seek opportunities to follow their passions, strive to help people and the world become better versions of themselves, and crave an active learning environment.
The Vanguard Academy includes a number of labs, a makerspace, a workshop, a build shop, numerous outdoor classrooms, a vocational agriculture center and more. It offers two full-time programs and one part-time program for students in grades 9-12. Full-time programs are application based and admission opportunities are limited to incoming 9th grade students. Virtual Academy
Brings online learning home by providing students the ability to receive their education on a virtual format while also receiving assistance from certified, highly qualified teachers. This is an ideal option for students who prefer a smaller learning environment, one-on-one communication with teachers, and the ability to choose when and where they work on their courses. Blended enrollment or full-time options are available.
