1.It is the “Joy in the Cause” goal to make sure people facing illness know they are not alone on their journey. We want them to know they are truly cared for. We as students can be there for each other in times of illness, maybe a text saying “I hope you feel better”

3.Freckles Friday is coming up THIS Friday! Ice cream can be picked up during your lunch hour at the table right outside the cafeteria. The cost is $2.00 or $15 for the year. If you've already paid for the year, your name will be on a list at pickup.
4.This year at OMS, we will be starting up a ‘Unified Club’. A Unified Club is a club that gets to help out with our athletes that are on the Special Olympics Team. Peers can join in on practices, area games, and state games. Anyone can join. Our 1st Unified Club meeting will be today, right after school in Room # 118-Mrs. Shipley’s Classroom. During the meeting you will get some paperwork that needs to be filled out, schedules of sporting practices and events, and a few more details about what a Unified Club is! Meeting will end around 3:45 p.m. Please see Mrs. Shipley or Mrs. Lane with any questions.
5.The 7th Annual Oliver Middle School Dodgeball Tournament is coming up on Friday, November 1st! The tournament will be held (mainly) during 5th and 6th hours. Teams should have 8 players and can be co-ed but must remain within grade level- there will be a separate bracket for each grade. Team Registration will begin Wednesday 10/10 during lunch. The cost is $5 per player (or $40 per team). The Final day to sign up is October 24th. We will have prizes for the winning team in each grade level AND the best costume prize for the best Costume/Uniformed team!
