Honors programs are offered to meet the academic needs of all students in grades 6-8. These courses require students to have advanced skills in math and/or reading in order to meet the course performance expectations. Rubrics are used to determine if a student is eligible and the likelihood of success in these courses. The rubrics consist of a combination of test scores, student grades and teacher recommendations from previous years.

Enrollment in honors social studies and honors science are determined from English language arts and math rubrics.
To enter into honors science courses, students must be eligible for enrollment in honors math or honors English language arts. Students can also score within 10 points of "advanced" on the fifth or eighth grade science Oklahoma Core Curriculum tests.
