BA Board of Education votes to lift districtwide mask mandate

The Board of Education for Broken Arrow Public Schools recently voted in a special meeting to lift the districtwide mask mandate for students, staff and visitors, regardless of vaccination status, on all district campuses. This decision comes after a similar recommendation from the CDC was released last week on a national scale.

However, under CDC requirements, passengers and drivers on school buses must STILL wear a mask, subject to the exclusions and exemptions in CDC’s Order.

All students and staff who are not immunized are highly encouraged to continue the use of masks in small settings while indoors, but it is optional. The lifting of the mask mandate is effective immediately.
