Spring 2024 Oklahoma State Testing Program information at Sequoyah Middle School

The State of Oklahoma requires all students in grades 6 through 8 to participate in state testing. This year, the bulk of state testing will take place over 4 days at Sequoyah Middle School. Students can find their testing locations posted outside of the cafeteria, front office and north gym lobby entrance beginning Thursday, April 18. If a student is absent on the day of scheduled testing, they will make up the missed test by the close of the OSTP Testing Window on May 15. Students who have an IEP, 504 plan, or ELAP that include OSTP accommodations will receive those accommodations during testing.

Students will need to bring their fully charged chrome books and arrive to school on time on scheduled state testing days. They will report directly to their testing location after the 8:28 a.m. bell rings on the mornings of testing. Scratch paper will be provided for students, and calculators are built into the testing portal. Students will not be allowed to access any electronic devices (cell phones, smart watches, etc.) during testing and breaks. If a cell phone is found on a student during testing, that student’s test will be invalidated and they will be required to take a breach test on a later date.

If you have any questions, please contact SMS Building Test Coordinator, Jennifer Moore at jamoore@baschools.org or 918-259-4370.
