Fine Arts Department
The fine arts department for Broken Arrow Public Schools encompasses a wide variety of disciplines and practices across every grade level. Students in their beginning stages of education will experience visual art and music during specials, while middle school students begin to expand their artistic horizons to band, vocal music, advanced visual art and orchestra. Secondary level students get to choose from a plethora of choices within their chosen discipline, including theatre with BAHS Drama, band with The Pride of Broken Arrow, several vocal music and show choirs, a full orchestra and art classes that extend all the way to Advanced Placement courses. Speech and Debate students learn the art of competitive speech/acting for use in various styles and venues, including monologues, duets, poetry, public forums, Lincoln-Douglas debate and more.
Students in the performing arts get the distinct pleasure of being able to showcase their craft in several different locations, including the multi-million dollar Broken Arrow Performing Arts Center and the historic Kirkland Theatre.
