Pre-K developmental screening information

ALL incoming Pre-K students must be screened at their site prior to beginning school. Screeners are by appointment only and take place a few days before school begins. Once you have enrolled, you will receive a confirmation email from enrollment verifying your child’s enrollment. When your enrollment is confirmed, you will then receive an email from the principal with a link to schedule your screener appointment.

The screening takes approximately 30 minutes, and a parent/guardian must attend with their child. Your child will be screened in the areas of expressive and receptive language, fine and large motor skills, and cognitive ability. The parent/guardian attending with their child will also be asked to fill out a brief questionnaire. This screener allows us to form more balanced classrooms.

All parents/guardians will also need to bring their driver's license to check in through our SchoolSafe ID system. Once you run it through this system, you will be issued a family ID card you will need anytime you are in the building.
