Board of Education approves 2020-21 Instructional Calendar
Broken Arrow Public Schools Board of Education approved the 2020-21 Instructional Calendar (pdf) at their regularly scheduled meeting on Feb. 10.
Students in grades K-12 will return for their first day of school on Wednesday, Aug. 19. Late Start Wednesdays will begin the following Wednesday, Aug. 26. The first day of school for Pre-K students is Friday, Aug. 21.
In order to help accommodate families and their planning, three snow days have been built into the calendar, and the last day of school has been set for May 26, 2021. If unused snow days are remaining at the end of the 2020-21 school year, the last day of school will be adjusted for an earlier dismissal. Please refer to the bottom right-hand side of the calendar for more details.
In the event the district extends beyond three regular snow days, virtual days may be possible, and students will complete assignments from home.
The date of graduation commencement for the Class of 2021 will be released next winter. Because the BOK Center is a venue that holds many events, Broken Arrow Public Schools is not able to negotiate a date until later in the calendar year.
