Title VI Indian Education Committee

The Title VI Indian Education Committee (IEC) is established to comply with the rules and regulations of the U.S. Department of Education. This committee consists of three parents/legal guardians of Native American children who are currently enrolled in the Broken Arrow Public Schools' Title VI program, one appointed BAPS teacher representative and one BAPS Title VI secondary student representative. Elections for these positions are held at the first fall meeting of each school year.

All parents of students who are enrolled in the BAPS Title VI program are invited to attend the Title VI IEC meetings. Meetings are held at Central on Main, 210 N. Main St. at 6 p.m. Please check back at the beginning of the new 2020-21 school year for meeting dates.

JOM Indian Education Committee

The JOM Indian Education Committee is established in accordance with the Indian Self Determination and Education Assistance Act - Johnson O' Malley Act of 1934, 25 CFR Part 273 of the federal regulations. This committee consists of five parents/legal guardians of Native American children who are currently enrolled in the BAPS JOM program. Elections are held at the first fall meeting of each school year.

All parents or guardians who are enrolled in the BAPS JOM program are invited to attend the JOM IEC Meetings. Meetings are held at Central on Main, 210 N. Main St. at 6 p.m. Please check back at the beginning of the new 2020-21 school year for meeting dates.
