Welcome to the Transportation Department

David Haines, Transportation Director

The Transportation Department services 115 square miles twice daily. Currently there are 153 buses in our fleet. There are 203 regular bus routes and 36 special needs bus routes. The BAPS Transportation Department also houses the Auto/Diesel Mechanic Garages that service all the school district fleet.

Broken Arrow Public is unique in the fact that student management on the bus is controlled through the transportation department and not the schools. This provides a more consistent delivery and time efficient program.

Online Transportation Routes

School bus routes are available online and the link is located under the "Quick Links" to your right. Parents will not have to wait in line at the school campus to obtain bus stop information. This link provides a fast and easy way to obtain student information.

Directions are as follows:

  1. Click the Online Transportation\Bus Routes under Quick Links on the right of page.
  2. A new web page will appear.
  3. Insert your students grade.
  4. Insert your current home address.

(Leave off the S for South at the end of your street name ex: E 39th St S - type in E 39th St)

  1. Your Students bus route information should appear.

If your students bus information does not appear please call Tammie White at 918-259-4550.

Students residing more than 1.5 miles from their home school are eligible to ride a bus. Transportation is provided for students in grades KG-12.  Pre-K students are not eligible for school bus service.   For safely and eligibility reasons, each year students and parents are required to read and sign a “Safe Bus Rider” permit for safety and eligibility reasons. Permits will be available after Labor Day on this website. Safe Rider expectations, rules and contract are included with in the permit packet.

Transfer Students

It is Broken Arrow Public Schools district policy that the parent assumes full responsibility of transportation for transfer students. Transportation will not be provided for students not living within the school of residence zone.

Rent/lease District Buses

Any outside organizations that would like to request bus transportation would need to fill out the “Organization Bus Rental” form and e-mail it to Ms. Kuxhausen at least 6 weeks in advance of the trip. The bus request will be submitted to a committee for review and then be presented at the next School Board meeting for approval.

For more information or estimates you can contact Jennette Kuxhausen, jljuxhausen@baschools.org, 918-259-4550.
