Lance Crawley, Principal
This will be Mr. Crawley’s 22nd year in Oklahoma Public Education. He was a high school English teacher and basketball coach for eleven years. The first five of those years he taught Junior and Senior English at BAHS and was an assistant coach for the 1997 Broken Arrow 6A Boys’ State Championship Basketball Team. As an administrator, he served as an assistant high school principal, an elementary principal for six years, and a central office administrator for three years. Mr. Crawley comes back to Broken Arrow from Deer Creek Public School in Edmond where he was the Chief Financial Officer.
He has a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Masters in School Administration from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. He is has completed his course work and is currently working on his dissertation at Oklahoma State University for an Ed. D in Educational Leadership.
Mr. Crawley has been married to his wife Andrea for 21 years. She is also beginning her 22nd year in Oklahoma Public Education. Andrea has taught 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades during her teaching career. The Crawleys have three children – Coleman, junior; Grace, 7th Grader, and Cooper, 1st Grader.
In his free time, Mr. Crawley enjoys going to his children’s activities, cycling, working on bicycles, and reading. He serves on the board of directors for The Way Sports, an international, sports-based, youth ministry based in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. He and his oldest son have travelled to Latvia and Lithuania for the past four summers with The Way Sports. One of Mr. Crawley’s lifetime goals is to ride his bicycle across the United States from the Pacific to the Atlantic Ocean.
