Dana deFreese is a graduate of Tahlequah High School. She attended Oklahoma State University and Northeastern State University. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Education in Early Childhood and Elementary Education and holds a Masters of Education in School Administration, both from Northeastern State University. Ms. deFreese came to Broken Arrow Public Schools in the summer of 2000 where she taught 7th and 8th grade math at Childers Middle School. In 2002 she became an Assistant Principal at Sequoyah Middle School. She then served as Assistant Principal at Oliver Middle School from 2006-2010 and at Haskell Middle School from 2010-2011. Ms. deFreese is new this year as Principal of Lynn Wood Elementary. Prior to coming to Broken Arrow, she taught 3rd grade and multiage 2nd and 3rd grade at Roosevelt Elementary in Tulsa, and 7th and 8th grade math at Jenks East Middle School. |
