Who Works In the Library?
Our media specialist is Mr. Fincher. Our wonderful library media aide is Mrs. Ball.

Who Can Check Out Books?
At Lynn Wood all students may check out books.  Kindergartners and 1st Graders are only allowed 1 book at a time. 2nd through 5th Graders are allowed 2 books at a time.

Books are checked out for a seven day period.  If a student doesn't finish a book it may be rechecked.

We do not charge late fees, but students must pay for lost or damaged books.  If a lost book is found, during the same school year, the money will be returned.

Students are allowed in the library from 8:40 AM until 3:40 PM, but they must have their teacher's permission and a library pass.

What is AR?
Accelerated Reader is a program that allows students to select books based upon their individualized reading levels. Each book is leveled according to a colored dot.

While we do have harder levels, starting about yellow, they may not be age appropriate for all readers. Some younger children read well for their age, but a book written with 4th or 5th grade student in mind, may not be suitable for younger readers and caution should be used when selecting these books.
