Sequoyah Middle School Administration
|Beth Gilbert, Principal
Beth Gilbert grew up in Oregon, Ohio and graduated from Clay High School. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. Mrs. Gilbert’s Oklahoma teaching career began at Sequoyah Middle School in 1999. Both of her children attended SMS, so this site is special to Ms. Gilbert. She taught Transitional 7th Grade and 8th Grade Language Arts while at Sequoyah, and was Broken Arrow’s Teacher of the Year in 2002. In 2003, Ms. Gilbert received the state's Rising Star Award.
In 2007, Ms. Gilbert moved to Centennial Middle School and continued teaching Language Arts until 2012 when she earned a Master’s degree in Administration from Oklahoma University. She then became an Assistant Principal at Centennial Middle School and later at Broken Arrow’s Freshman Academy. Ms. Gilbert is looking forward to coming back “home” to work with the students and staff at Sequoyah Middle School!
Dax Gray, Assistant Principal
Dax Gray has been with Broken Arrow Public Schools since the fall of 2011. He graduated from East Central High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he then joined the Army. Mr. Gray attended Northeastern State University, where he received a degree in social studies, with a minor in military science. Mr. Gray then commissioned into the United States Army Reserves as an Officer, where he currently still serves. Mr. Gray received his Masters degree in School Administration from Northeastern State University in 2013.
