1.January is Healthy Weight Awareness Month -Exercise is an important part of a healthy lifestyle. Exercise prevents health problems, builds strength, gives you more energy, and can help you reduce stress. It can also help you maintain a healthy body weight and curb your appetite.
2.Students, the last day for schedule changes will be tomorrow, January 16th. No schedule changes will be accepted after that date.
3.This Thursday morning, we will host our “OMS 5th Grade Visit Day And Fine Arts Preview Event!” We will have several NJHS students and Fine Arts students assist us with this event. Teachers: We will send out these rosters of students to you in the next day or two. Fine Arts Students will report to the gym @ 10:30a.m. and will perform until Noon on Thursday morning, Our NJHS student leaders will assist us from 10:00a.m. until Noon that morning. We will also hold a training meeting Wednesday afternoon @ 1:30p.m. for these NJHS student volunteers. Thanks so much everyone! Please stay tuned for these student rosters.”
4.Here are the first class Spelling Bee champions from Mrs. Davidson’s classes. These students will compete 1st hour in Mrs. Kiss’ classroom on January 23rd: 1st hr Madelynn Walker, 2nd hr Moroni Echeverria, 4th hr Skarlette Powell, 5th hr Gavin Payton, 6th hr Thomas Webb. Mrs. Kiss class champions will compete during 1st hour THIS Wednesday; and they are: Ziyan Alexander, Kendall Fowler, Seth Edwards, Ainsley Colvin, and J’Lea Fennell.
5.Botball team members’ reminder- after school practices resume today, Thursday, and Friday until 5:00 p.m. Also, Mrs. Shehada has the new game rules copied for each of you, so stop by and get your copy.
