Heather Adams, PrincipalE-mail Ms. Adams Heather Adams joined Broken Arrow Public Schools in August 1999. She has 20 years of experience as an elementary teacher, an English Language Instructor, and an administrator. She was named Principal of Oak Crest Elementary in the fall of 2005. Adams graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Adams is a member of the Oklahoma Association of Elementary School Principals and the International Reading Association. She and her husband, Jeff, have two children: McKenzie and Kolby, who attend Broken Arrow Public Schools. |

Sheila Martin received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Northeastern State University and began her teaching career in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She taught in early childhood and elementary classrooms for eleven years. Mrs. Martin received her master’s in Reading Instruction from Northeastern State University and served as a reading specialist for seven years. During this time, she helped lead her school to receive a Nationally Distinguished Title I School Award for advancing student achievement. Mrs. Martin completed an Advanced Graduate Studies in School Administration in 2009 and has recently joined Broken Arrow Schools as assistant principal at Oak Crest Elementary. In her 19 years of education she has served on numerous committees and participated in several professional activities, including Master Teacher Project, Instructional and Mentor Coaching, Decision Making for Results and Data Teams Leadership, and National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. Mrs. Martin is happily married to Bob Martin, and enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and traveling when possible. |
