Spring Creek's Media Center

Mrs. Kelly Zilmer is Spring Creek’s Media Specialist. Her email address is kzilmer@baschools.org.

Spring Creek Library/Media Center strives to help students develop a love of reading and to become life-long learners. Each class at Spring Creek attends a weekly library class to participate in story time or in a library skills lesson. In addition, our library works to assist students and teachers in becoming effective users of ideas and information by providing access to all materials that enrich and support the curriculum of the school.

Overdue Policy

Books are due back in one week. There are no fines for overdue books but books that are permanently lost or damaged must be paid for as soon as possible. If a lost book is paid for and then found before the end of the school year the students may either keep the book or return it for a full refund.

Accelerated Reading (AR) Program

Spring Creek uses a superior computer program called Accelerated Reader (AR) that helps teachers manage and monitor children’s independent reading practice and comprehension. This reading program allows students to choose AR books on their reading level and take tests that show comprehension.
