Elora Orr, Principal
Elora Orr has been with Broken Arrow Public Schools since 1998. Mrs. Orr has served students at Sequoyah Middle School teaching 7th Grade Math and Pre-Algebra for two years. She then moved to Park Lane Elementary where she taught 3rd grade for 5 years. Mrs. Orr began serving the district as a School Counselor in 2005 and has worked with both middle school and elementary school students serving Sequoyah Middle School, Arrowhead Elementary and Country Lane Primary. She has served as Assistant Principal at Arrowhead Elementary, Aspen Creek Elementary, and Liberty.
Mrs. Orr earned a bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Middle School Math and a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern State University. She then continued with Northeastern State University and obtained her Certificate in School Administration. Mrs. Orr has completed extensive training in Great Expectations, Literacy First, Schools Attuned and Rachel’s Challenge. She has also coordinated several successful community outreach programs including Pasta for Pennies to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, food and clothing drives for Broken Arrow Neighbors, and Food for Kids Backpack program.
As an administrator, Mrs. Orr has served on various district committees including the Elementary Handbook Committee, RTI Committee, Instructional Time Task Force, Report Card Committee, and Data Assessment Review Committee.
Mrs. Orr is happily married to her husband, Derek, and has two children, Hayden and Abigail. She enjoys reading, spending time with her friends and family, and traveling.
Russell Frederick, Assistant Principal
Russell Frederick is a graduate of Oklahoma State University where he obtained a degree in Elementary Education. Following his graduation in 2000, he taught for three years in Okmulgee where he taught physical education to K-2nd graders and coached middle school baseball as well as 9th grade and varsity football. He also lived and worked for a year in South Carolina where he was a high school special education teacher.
In 2006, Mr. Frederick relocated to Broken Arrow where he was hired as a physical education teacher at Country Lane Elementary where he worked for three years while also working on his graduate degree. In 2009, Mr. Frederick relocated to the newly opened Country Lane Intermediate school where he taught physical education for another five years and, in 2010, finished his degree in School Administration from Northeastern State University. In the summer of 2014, Mr. Frederick was hired as assistant principal at Highland Park Elementary.
Mr. Frederick lives in Tulsa with his wonderful wife of five years and their two spoiled dogs. They enjoy traveling, gardening, trying new and interesting restaurants, attending shows and concerts, and enjoying an overall life of leisure (or at least they wish they were).
