Julie Gateley earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education and early childhood certification at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond and her master’s degree in public school administration from Northeastern State University. Mrs. Gateley began her teaching career at Union Public Schools in 1999. She taught kindergarten at Briarglen Elementary and first and second grade at Moore Elementary. Gateley also taught 1st grade for three years at Eanes ISD in Austin, TX. Her favorite times in the classroom were those when she observed students beam with enthusiasm as they developed a love for reading. In 2008, Gateley entered the world of administration as the administrative intern at McAuliffe Elementary and then became the assistant principal at Grove Elementary two years later. Gateley is thrilled to be a part of the Broken Arrow family. Gateley has been married for almost eight years. She and her husband have a three year old daughter, Ava. They enjoy going to the movies and dining at their favorite restaurants. Gateley also enjoys exercising and loves spending time with her family and friends. |
