Broken Arrow High School Air Force JROTC program is now enrolling for 2024-25 school year

Broken Arrow Public Schools offers students in grades 9-12 the opportunity to enroll in the Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps program (JROTC), an elective course that satisfies the graduation requirement for a Fine Arts credit. The course focuses on leadership, personal responsibility, service to the nation and community as well as instruction in air and space topics. This program is now enrolling for the 2024-25 school year. View video to learn about this program.

The curriculum is composed of aerospace science, leadership education, and physical fitness. In addition to classroom instruction, students are able to participate in field trips to military bases, aerospace facilities and aviation museums.

The students are heavily involved in community service with the program averaging more than 1,700 hours a year in community service. Extracurricular activities include marksmanship team, Raider team, drill team, and aviation and rocketry clubs.

JROTC is an academic and leadership program and involves no military commitment after high school. Review the JROTC mythbusters document to learn more about this program.

Please contact the Senior Aerospace Science Instructor Lt Col Walter Gagajewski at 918-259-8591 or wgagajewski@baschools.org for information on how to enroll for the 2024-25 school year and/or for any questions about this program.
