Bricks from former Broken Arrow High School buildings available to the public

For more than 95 years, the campus located at the end of East College Street successfully served the students of Broken Arrow Public Schools - first as the high school and later as North Intermediate. In February 2015, the Broken Arrow community overwhelmingly passed a bond issue that would allow BAPS to repurpose the site into Kirkland Activities Complex. The first phase of this process, which will include renovations to the gym, auditorium and addition of a soccer field, begins at the end of July when the classroom buildings will be removed to make way for new facilities.

As part of the district’s efforts to honor the site’s significant history, bricks from the site will be available to the Broken Arrow community. Patrons interested in obtaining bricks may visit the parking lot on Detroit Street northeast of the auditorium on the following dates and times:

Wednesday, July 27, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Saturday, July 30, 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Monday, Aug. 1, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The commemorative bricks will be available on a first come, first-served basis with a maximum of ten bricks per person.
