Broken Arrow Freshman Academy students recently teamed up with fourth graders from Spring Creek Elementary to explore creative writing and sentence structure. Using "The Important Book" as inspiration, they co-wrote about what makes our district special, inspiring each other along the way!
This collaboration allowed both groups to learn from each other, with older students inspiring younger ones—and vice versa. We love seeing our students connect and grow!

Welcome to Fine Arts Friday! Today we are honoring students from the Broken Arrow Theatre program at the high school! At the recent OSSAA 6A One-Act Northeastern Regional, students Addy Roden and Victoria Parker were chosen for the all-star cast for their work in "Into The Forests Of The Night," where the overall cast took fourth. At the Union One-Act competition a few weeks earlier, students Patrick O'Brien and Tatum Stiles were also chosen as all-star cast members. Congratulations to everyone!

GOOD NEWS: Broken Arrow High School student John Roskob was recently named a National Merit Commended Student! Hooray!
About 34,000 of the 50,000 high scorers in each year’s National Merit Scholarship Program are recognized as Commended Students based on a national Selection Index qualifying score. This score varies annually and applies to all participants across the country. Please join us in congratulating John on this incredible achievement! 👏

It was a PACKED house at Broken Arrow High School's College Fest, which took place at the new BA Event Center! Thank you to our amazing students and parents for exploring post-high school opportunities, and a big shoutout to the 71 college reps who had 2,200+ conversations with our attendees. What a fantastic turnout!

ALOHA from Broken Arrow High School! 🌊 🌺 Tons of fun activities and camaraderie recently welcomed back our high school students at the annual Aloha Bash. Student engagement at its finest, if you ask us!

The new school year is off to a great start here at Broken Arrow Public Schools!

Our students truly shined at this year's employee back-to-school kickoff! 🌟 With big smiles and special performances, students across all grades showed their appreciation to the incredible teachers and support staff who pour into their lives every day.

Our friends at Broken Arrow Neighbors, AVB Bank and First Methodist Church Broken Arrow helped our first-year teachers fill their classrooms, and we are SO grateful for their generosity & support!

This is how we welcome 150+ new teachers to the Broken Arrow family! 😀 A big shoutout to our students for showing them what it means to be a Broken Arrow Tiger and to TTCU Federal Credit Union for sponsoring breakfast!

The BAPS Foundation has outdone themselves! Earlier this month, they achieved their highest fundraising total in 30+ years. The BBQ & Bingo event raised more than $81,000, with support from a number of companies across Broken Arrow. It was a fantastic evening, and we are incredibly thankful for their support of our students and staff!

Our students at the inaugural Tiger Theatre Summer Camp were amazing! Spending all week writing and rehearsing, the students presented their original one-acts to a full house!

Five years ago, BAPS started its Early College High School program on the campus of NSU-BA! This year, we honored 50 students who received their associate degree from Tulsa Community College AND their high school diploma! Additionally, we had seven students who completed between 30-57 college hours. We are SO proud! 🎉

$11 million!!
That’s the amount of scholarship dollars accepted by the Class of 2024! Way to go, seniors!

BA BRAG: We have THE most incredible employees! Today we want to celebrate Options Academy Math Teacher Krista Hedrick!
From her nomination: ““Ms. Hedrick is always willing to help out any staff member, teacher, custodian, counselor or administrator. She is often on campus during the summer vacation and during holiday breaks. She helps with scheduling students, advising and mentoring teachers having issues.”
Thanks for everything you do for BA, Ms.Hedrick! We appreciate YOU! #oklaed

Community engagement and integrating the arts into education are incredibly important to us! The Tulsa Ballet recently teamed up with The Broken Arrow Performing Arts Center to bring their production of "Jack and the Beanstalk" to our second graders! It was such a fun day!

It’s #PublicSchoolsWeek, and we want to take a moment to thank our amazing employees, students, families & community for always supporting us. We are a family, and we are #publicschoolproud!

Family engagement is incredibly important to us! Big kudos to Oak Crest Elementary for recently hosting “Lunch with a Loved One,” where families could join their kiddo for a special lunch! It's these moments of connection that truly enrich the school experience.
