Superintendent Chuck Perry playing golf in the annual BAPS Foundation Golf Tournament.

The Broken Arrow Public Schools Foundation raised a record-breaking $54,000 at its 25th Annual Golf Tournament, marking the most successful tournament in the event’s history.

The tournament supports the Foundation’s mission to enhance educational opportunities for students and teachers throughout Broken Arrow Public Schools. Established 25 years ago to fund teacher grants, the event remains a cornerstone of the Foundation’s fundraising efforts, bringing together community leaders, educators and local sponsors in support of education.

Hosted at Cherokee Hills Golf Club, this year’s tournament was presented by Cherokee Nation Businesses, a Friends of the Foundation sponsor. Golfers enjoyed 18 holes of play, two flight prize divisions, on-course games and lunch while supporting students and educators across the district.

Winning teams received prize packages featuring certificates for a round of four golfers at six premier local golf courses.

“We are deeply grateful to our sponsors, players and community partners who made our 25th anniversary tournament our most successful yet,” said Russell Peterson, golf tournament chairman and founding member of the BAPS Foundation. “Proceeds go back into Broken Arrow classrooms, empowering teachers and expanding opportunities for Broken Arrow students.”

Since 1992, the Broken Arrow Public Schools Foundation has supported teachers and students through classroom grants and districtwide educational programs. Led by a 30-member volunteer board of directors, the Foundation relies on community support to enhance student achievement and promote lifelong success.
