The Broken Arrow Indian Education Program has been named the 2025 Region 3 National Program of the Year by the National Johnson-O’Malley Association (NJOMA)!

Even more exciting, Russell Sullivan, one of our outstanding educators, was honored as the 2025 National Teacher of the Year for his incredible dedication to Native education.

Both awards were presented this past Monday during the NJOMA 30th Anniversary National Conference in Denver, Colorado.

These honors recognize the program’s ongoing commitment to supporting Native students by celebrating academic success, cultural pride, and community connections.

Mr. Sullivan has spent the past 18 years mentoring students and sharing the importance of Native culture in the classroom. His passion, leadership, and care for students have made a lasting impact on the Broken Arrow community.

We are beyond proud of this recognition and deeply grateful for our students, families, tribal partners, and community members for helping make it possible!
