Broken Arrow Public Schools is excited to announce a major milestone in bringing a long-awaited aquatic center to the community.

At the April Board of Education meeting, construction bids for the aquatic center were officially approved, including all bid alternates. This approval marks a significant step forward, bringing both student athletes and the Broken Arrow community closer to having a dedicated, state-of-the-art pool right here in BA. Construction is set to begin in May, and while the project will take a little over a year to complete, it represents the final project from the 2015 bond issue becoming a reality.

To celebrate this exciting progress, the district invites students, families and community members to attend the official groundbreaking ceremony. The event will take place on May 5, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the Kirkland Activities Complex, 808 E. College Street.

Approved by voters in the 2015 bond, the new aquatic center will serve Broken Arrow Public Schools students and the community for years to come. This facility will provide expanded opportunities for student athletics, instruction and community use.

We hope you will join us as we celebrate this important milestone for Broken Arrow Public Schools.
