In an effort to provide middle school students and parents with information about academic programming offered at Broken Arrow Public Schools, Oliver Middle School is hosting an Academic Advisement Night at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 17 for students who will attend Oliver Middle School in 6th grade for the 2026-27 school year. <Download Flier>
The evening will begin with a short welcome session at 6 p.m., where families will receive important information about the school and what to expect in the coming year. After the welcome, students and families are invited to explore the campus at their own pace.
Throughout the evening, attendees will have the opportunity to:
Tour the building
Try out band and orchestra instruments and learn more about joining these programs
Meet with choir and drama teachers to hear about programs
Visit with school counselors, who will be available to answer questions about enrollment and the course request form
In addition, representatives from several specialty and support programs will be available for meet-and-greets and questions, including:
Special Education
Campus Intervention Specialist (504 plans and testing support)
Gateway to Technology
Technology Student Association (TSA)
English Learner (EL) services
Rising 6th Grade Academic Night is a great opportunity to ask questions, meet staff, and start building excitement for the year ahead.
Middle school counselors will be visiting each elementary site the week of Feb. 9 and will provide a course choice form to all the 5th grade students for the student to take home. >READ MORE
