Vanguard Academy is proud to announce its second annual Capstone Conference, taking place on Friday, May 2, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, May 3, from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This exciting event will be held on campus located at 3000 E. Albany and is open to the public.
Throughout the year, Vanguard seniors have been hard at work developing their capstone projects and engineering reports. The Capstone Conference gives them the opportunity to showcase their efforts to the community, families, and industry professionals.
Each senior will deliver a 15-minute presentation to explain their project. When not presenting, students will also host interactive booths where guests can walk through, ask questions, and learn more about the innovative work being done.
What is a Capstone?
In education, a capstone is a major final project that allows students to demonstrate everything they've learned during their studies. It brings together the skills, knowledge, and experience they've gained over time. Capstone projects can include research papers, hands-on presentations, or creative portfolios—each one unique to the student's interests and future goals.
These projects not only highlight academic achievement, but also prepare students for college, careers, and beyond by giving them real-world experience in presenting and defending their work.
Join us for a celebration of student excellence, creativity, and innovation. The Vanguard Capstone Conference is an inspiring event that shows the power of education in action—and you’re invited to be part of it.
