Vanguard offers two full-time programs and one part-time program for students in grades 9-12. Full-time programs are application-based and admission opportunities are limited to incoming 9th grade students. The part-time program does not require an application; students may select Vanguard electives during the regular enrollment process. Fine arts students and student-athletes are eligible to participate in any of the program options.

Innovative Elective Program (Part-time Program)

This part-time option allows Broken Arrow High School students in grades 9–12 to earn elective credits on the Vanguard Academy campus. Course topics range from drone technology to renewable energy and beyond.

XPO (Full-time Program)

XPO is a full-time, project-based learning program for students in grades 9–12. Students, referred to as "Innovators," earn core academic credits through interdisciplinary coursework and gain elective credits through diverse experiences centered on exposing, expanding and exploring. The program culminates in a senior-year "eXPOsition," a personalized, passion-driven learning experience.

Admission is by application only.

Broken Arrow Design Lab (Full-time Program)

The Broken Arrow Design Lab (BAd Lab) is a full-time Vanguard program that uses Human-Centered Design (HCD) to address real-world challenges in collaboration with community partners. Students gain hands-on experience applying HCD principles in everyday coursework, with an emphasis on communication and teamwork.

At the heart of BAd Lab is Design Rotation, a unique, student-led course for sophomores and juniors. In this course, students collaborate with community partners to develop services, systems, spaces and products that address real needs. Design Rotation includes four main project units: Project Good, Pay It Forward, Entrepreneurship and Partnership Café, each guiding community-focused initiatives.
