Broken Arrow Youth City Council provides a great opportunity for high school students to learn how municipal government works, gain an understanding of local policymaking and serve their community during this three-year program.
Participants meet with city councilors and other city officials, tour public facilities, attend public meetings, and demonstrate their knowledge by preparing an agenda and minutes for presentation to the City Council.
Current freshmen and sophomores can visit the City of Broken Arrow’s website to review the requirements and submit an application by Friday, Sept. 4.
