Mrs. McMinn’s 2nd graders are using place value blocks to solve double digit subtraction word problems! They are using partner work to help each other understand the problems.

Kindergarten DIY Slime- We learned about chemical reactions as we combined materials to make slime. We learned that we needed all of the ingredients to be successful, and that the contact solution was our activator ingredient that made the slime turn from a liquid to a solid.

Holiday Light Fight. This is a game with team relays. Students roll a random number cube to turn on all 6 Holiday(Christmas) Lights. The first team to turn on all of their Christmas lights wins!

Our Gingerbread Literacy Night was a HUGE success last week. We had over 400 people attend. Our choir had an amazing performance, students were able to win books at our book walk, and families enjoyed all of the fun activities to encourage literacy skills. Thank you to everyone who came.

Ms. D’s class made Gingerbread houses. Students practiced making predictions about how their gingerbread house would look like and then had to compare their predictions to the actual results after completion.

Our friends at Broken Arrow Neighbors, AVB Bank and First Methodist Church Broken Arrow helped our first-year teachers fill their classrooms, and we are SO grateful for their generosity & support!

This is how we welcome 150+ new teachers to the Broken Arrow family! 😀 A big shoutout to our students for showing them what it means to be a Broken Arrow Tiger and to TTCU Federal Credit Union for sponsoring breakfast!

Five years ago, BAPS started its Early College High School program on the campus of NSU-BA! This year, we honored 50 students who received their associate degree from Tulsa Community College AND their high school diploma! Additionally, we had seven students who completed between 30-57 college hours. We are SO proud! 🎉
