To help families meet immunization requirements before the next school year, Broken Arrow Public Schools is partnering with the Caring Van to provide FREE immunizations for eligible students.
This opportunity is especially important for current 6th grade students who will be entering 7th grade this fall. All students entering 7th grade in Oklahoma are required by state law to receive the Tdap booster (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis).
Dates, Times and Location:
Friday, April 10: 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Monday, April 13: 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Location: Education Service Center, 701 S. Main Street
Who Should Attend?
Current 6th grade students needing their required Tdap booster
All other eligible students are also welcome, including Pre-K and Kindergarten students needing routine immunizations
Free Immunizations Available for Students Who:
Are eligible for SoonerCare (Oklahoma Medicaid)
Are Native American
Are uninsured
Students who do not meet at least one of these criteria will be referred to a private physician.
Important Requirements
A parent or legal guardian must accompany the student
A completed Caring Van consent form is required (English, Spanish)
Additional Immunization Information
For Incoming 7th Grade Students:
1 dose of Tdap booster is required
If your student has an exemption on file, a new exemption specific to Tdap must be submitted

3 – Polio
1 – MMR
2 – Hepatitis A
3 – Hepatitis B
1 – Varicella (Chickenpox)
Kindergarten Requirements:
5 – DTP/DTaP
4 – Polio

Since 1999, the Caring Van program has helped thousands of Oklahoma students stay up to date on immunizations. All vaccines are administered by registered nurses and recorded in the Oklahoma State Immunization Information System (OSIIS).
