The Botvin LifeSkills Elementary School program is a comprehensive, dynamic, and developmentally appropriate program designed for upper elementary school students. This evidence-based curriculum has been proven to help increase self-esteem, develop healthy attitudes, and improve their knowledge of essential life skills – all of which promote healthy and positive personal development and mental health. Lessons during the 2025/26 school year include:

  • Self-Esteem (Students will learn about self-esteem and how it is developed)

  • Decision Making (Students will learn a step-by-step process for making decisions)

  • Smoking Information/Advertising (Students will be introduced to the reasons people smoke and develop an awareness of advertisement manipulation regarding tobacco)

  • Communication Skills/Assertiveness (Students will learn how feelings are communicated both verbally and nonverbally and learn refusal skills)
