As we prepare for the 2026-2027 school year, we want to make families aware of an important change that will be in effect beginning on the first day of school: Bell-to-Bell, No Cell.
This new expectation is the result of an Oklahoma state law requiring students' cell phones and other personal electronic devices to be turned off and put away from the first school bell to the last.
At Broken Arrow High School, personal electronic devices must be turned off and stored away from 7:43 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each school day.
This expectation applies throughout the entire school day, including:
During class
Between classes during passing periods
At lunch
We encourage families to discuss this expectation with their student before the first day of school. Your partnership and support will play an important role as we work together to create a learning environment focused on instruction, engagement and student success.
Thank you for helping us make this transition a success!
