Cleaning and Disinfection Protocols
The health and safety of Broken Arrow Public Schools students and staff is the district’s top priority. Below you will find important safety protocols in place to prevent infectious diseases in schools.
All school sites, teachers and staff members will be provided with Tersano Stabilized Aqueous Ozone (SAO) to utilize throughout the school day to disinfect high touched surfaces, including desks.
Custodial Duties
Day custodian:
- Cleaning and disinfecting high touch surfaces (doors, bottle fillers, light switches, push bars, soap and towel dispensers, etc.) throughout the day using Tersano Stabilized Aqueous Ozone (SAO).
- Monitoring hand soap dispensers and refilling as needed.
- Cleaning and disinfecting water bottle filling stations throughout the day using Tersano Stabilized Aqueous Ozone (SAO).
- Student restrooms will be cleaned and disinfected throughout the day using Tersano Stabilized Aqueous Ozone (SAO).
- Addressing any spills as needed.
- Disposing of trash after breakfast and lunch.
- Using an auto scrubber to clean cafeteria floors after lunch.
- Clean and disinfect staff restrooms throughout the day using Tersano Stabilized Aqueous Ozone (SAO).
- Monitor and stock restrooms with paper products as needed.
Night custodian:
- Cleaning and disinfecting high touch surfaces (doors, bottle fillers, light switches, push bars, soap and towel dispensers, etc.) nightly using Tersano Stabilized Aqueous Ozone (SAO).
- Fill hand soap dispensers as needed.
- Stock restrooms with paper products.
- Clean and disinfect water bottle filling stations using Tersano Stabilized Aqueous Ozone (SAO).
- All restrooms will be cleaned and disinfected nightly using Kaivac restroom system and Tersano Stabilized Aqueous Ozone (SAO).
- Dispose of all trash from classrooms, bathrooms, office areas, commons areas and cafeteria.
- Tuesday and Thursday all desks and tables with be cleaned and disinfected using microfiber and Tersano Stabilized Aqueous Ozone (SAO).
- Monday, Wednesday & Friday all carpeted areas will be vacuumed.
Equipment
- Tersano Stabilized Aqueous Ozone (SAO) is utilized frequently throughout the school day. View pathogen summary sheet and latest Tersano bulletin update.
- Victory Electrostatic Sprayer using Bioesque Botanical Disinfectant (safety data sheet) is used to treat an exposed area.
- Clorox Total 360 (safety data sheet) will be utilized to treat a site that is closed due to a COVID-19 outbreak.
