Johnson O'Malley (JOM) Services

The following are services the JOM program offers Broken Arrow students:

College Prep Course

JOM partners with Title VI to offer a college prep course for Broken Arrow Indian Education students in grades 11 and 12. Offered at the end of the school year, this class allows students to spend three days visiting area colleges to learn about scholarships and financial aid.

College Fair

Every fall, JOM partners with Title VI to offer an annual college fair for Broken Arrow Indian Education students in grades 9-12. During this event, more than 30 colleges, universities, higher education representatives and technical schools from across the nation travel to Broken Arrow to meet with Indian Education students.

Haskell Indian Nations University Tour

The JOM program offers a campus tour of Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, Kansas, to Broken Arrow Indian Education juniors and seniors every other year. This university provides tuition, books, housing and meals for only $215 per semester to eligible students.

Cultural / Stem Summer School

The JOM program offers a cultural summer school session to students in grades 3rd through 8th. This class allows students to experience native culture through field trips, arts and crafts, languages, activities, literature and traditional foods.

Basic School Supplies for Grades Pre-K through 12

With one of the largest Native American student populations in Oklahoma, each year Broken Arrow Public Schools hosts an annual Indian Education school supply distribution event for eligible students at the beginning of the new school year. Students must be enrolled in the JOM program in order to be eligible for free school supplies.

Please call the office at 918-259-5749 and set an appointment if you missed the school supplies makeup day. School supplies are not held at the office so we are unable to have them ready without an appointment.
