Leisure Park's Counseling Office
Angela Waymire, Counselor
Shelley Jones, Counselor's Secretary
One of our goals at Leisure Park Elementary is to help provide a positive and successful school experience for our students. Some of the counseling duties include counseling individual students as needed, counseling small groups of children with similar concerns (social skills, divorce, anger management etc.), consulting with teachers and assisting them in meeting individual student's needs as well as coordinating referrals to school and community agencies and meeting with parents.
Visit district's webpage for district counseling newsletters and parent resources.
Doctors and Psychologists
Doctors and psychologists often want teachers input with diagnosis of childhood disorders. If a doctor or psychologist sends a checklist for the teachers to complete, or wants a copy of the student’s records, please see the counselor to sign a release. This is because you are asking Broken Arrow Public Schools (the teacher) to give information to a third party about your child. It is district policy that all such information is mailed or faxed directly to the doctor or psychologist.
Daybreak Counseling Services
Leisure Park Elementary School partners with Daybreak Family Services to offer in school and home based counseling and therapy services to students and families.
Please contact the counseling office at 918-259-4420 if you have questions and/or concerns.
