Charge Policy
Elementary Students
Students whose accounts have a charge of $10 for insufficient funds will no longer be able to charge. These students will receive breakfast toast with milk for breakfast and a sandwich with milk for lunch. The child nutrition department will notify parents when their child reaches this situation. Parents will be offered assistance by providing the Free/Reduced paperwork.
Middle School
Students whose accounts have a charge of $5 for insufficient funds will no longer be able to charge. These students will receive breakfast toast with milk for breakfast and a sandwich with milk for lunch. The child nutrition department will notify parents when their child reaches this situation. Parents will be offered assistance by providing the Free/Reduced paperwork.
High School
Students will not be able to charge meals to their account but will be able to receive breakfast toast with milk for breakfast and a sandwich with milk for lunch, if needed. Parents needing assistance through the Free/Reduced program will be provided with information upon request.
School site child nutrition managers will send notification home to parents in their student's backpack and will call by phone in an effort to avoid the above situations. If there is a chronic situation or neglect is a concern, a counselor and/or administrator will be notified of the situation.
