The Broken Arrow Esports program was created due to the expansion of the Esports industry into high school and colleges. Currently, multiple colleges throughout the nation offer Esports scholarships! To participate in Esports, students must follow the standard athletic requirements of maintaining a passing GPA and be in good standing.

The start date and time for club meetings is to be determined. Contact Mr. St. John for more information!

Gardening and Cooking with Cultures

Sponsor(s):  Aubrie Thompson

Gardening and Cooking with Cultures is a club dedicated to learning to grow what you eat, and to eat what you grow.  We will learn about the different kinds of container gardens that can be used to grow food year-round, and we will build container gardens in the old outdoor cafeteria.  We will cook with the view of feeding 20 people for $20, and finding flavor without depending on salt, sugar, or oil to make food taste good.  We will learn composting and non-toxic pest control, and we will appreciate flavors from around the world.

International Language Club

Sponsor(s):  Angie Collier

The International Language Club students love learning about different cultures and their languages. Students discover and experience international dress, foods, holidays, and more.

National Junior Honor Society (NJHS)

Sponsor(s):  Arica Loyd

NJHS is a service-oriented organization used to promote teamwork, leadership and good character. The five main purposes that guide the organization are: to create enthusiasm for scholarship; to stimulate a desire to render service; to promote leadership; to encourage responsible citizenship; and to develop character in the students of secondary schools. The member requirements are good citizenship skills, high grade-point averages, and involvement in extracurricular activities.

Student Council (STUCO)

Sponsor(s):  Victoria Glover & Lynsey Kelleher

The purpose of the Student Council is to promote high standards of leadership, to promote engagement, school pride and enthusiasm among the student body, to propose policy changes as they apply to the student body, and to meet the needs of the student body, faculty and community. Each advisory class will nominate one class representative to attend Student Council meetings and relay any information received. Meetings are to be determined. Contact Ms. Glover or Mrs. Kelleher for more information.

Theater Production Club

Sponsor(s):  Amy Burkhalter

The Theater Production Club allows students to have hands-on experience designing, creating, producing, and running theatrical shows for the BAFA Drama Department. Students will get experience in all areas of technical production including costuming, prop making, marketing, set construction, lighting/sound design, stage management, and more. Our purpose is to use our creativity and problem-solving skills to create dynamic and memorable technical elements for both of our BAFA shows. While being a member of the BAFA Drama Department is not required, this club makes a great supplement for all skills learned in a drama class and serves as good practice for any future stagecraft classes you wish to take.
