Qualifying BA families could receive additional funds directly from the federal government

Free & Reduced Meal Applications due by Sept. 22

Families who qualify for free and reduced meals may be eligible to receive P-EBT benefits for this school year, pending funding provided by a federal grant through the Department of Human Services. Pandemic Electronic Benefits Transfer (P-EBT) is a program that helps children who would have received free or reduced-price meals at their schools if not for the COVID-19 pandemic and could receive a benefits card pre-loaded with additional funds if qualifications are met.

Although student meals are free this year, Broken Arrow Public Schools is still encouraging parents/guardians to complete the free and reduced lunch application if they feel they may qualify based on household size and income because valuable state aid funding is tied to these forms. Additionally, qualifying families could receive additional funds from the federal government if their free and reduced application is accepted. Applications are due by Sept. 22.
