Broken Arrow Public Schools offering summer camps for students

As the 2020-21 academic year comes to an end, Broken Arrow Public Schools is offering several summer camps for our students to participate in. These range from academic, fine arts to athletics.

The following is a list of the current camps that are being currently offered:


Academics

Camp Invention (It's a STEM Camp)

This camp is for children entering grades K-6. Bring lunch from home or get lunch from school for free.

  • Date: July 12-15
  • Time: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Cost: $250
  • Place: Sequoyah Middle School, 2701 S Elm Place in Broken Arrow

BA Scholars Camp 

  • Date: July 12-16 by invitation only 
  • Place: Broken Arrow High School

JROTC First Year Cadet Camp

This camp is for all first year JROTC students in any grade.

  • Date: Aug. 9 -13
  • Time: 7:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.
  • Cost: $0
  • Place: Broken Arrow High School VOAG (Vocational / Agricultural) Building, 1901 E Albany Street in Broken Arrow. The VOAG building is located next to the cafeteria and across from the green houses on the BAHS campus.

Speech/Debate Camps

Middle School Debate Camp

  • Date: June 21-25
  • Time: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Place: Broken Arrow High School
  • Checks/payments made out to Broken Arrow Speech and Debate
  • Bring a lunch and a snack

Competitive Speech/Acting Camp

  • Grades: For rising 8th and 9th graders
  • Date: July 19-23
  • Time: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Place: Broken Arrow High School
  • Checks/payments made out to Broken Arrow Speech and Debate
  • Bring a lunch and a snack

Summer Strings Academy (Orchestra)

  • Date: June 1-4
  • Beginning Strings: 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. (no playing experience, entering 6th grade)
  • Cadet Orchestra: 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (one year of playing experience, entering 7th grade)
  • Intermediate Orchestra: Noon to 2 p.m. (two years of playing experience, entering 8th grade)
  • Advanced Orchestra: 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. (entering freshman year of high school)
  • Place: Freshman Academy, 301 W. New Orleans
  • Checks payable to BAHS Orchestra: $40

Vocal Music Camps

Show Choir Camp

  • Date: July 19-23
  • Middle School and Tiger Momentum 9 a.m. - noon/high school students 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Middle School student’s cost is $50 / 9th-12th Show Choir students cost is in their class fee
  • Place: Centennial Middle School
  • Students who are enrolled in show choir for the next year

All State Camp

  • Date: July 26-30
  • Time: 9 a.m. - noon
  • No cost
  • Place: BAHS Choir Room
  • BAHS Choir students 10-12

BA Summer Band Academy

  • Date: June 7 - 11
  • Times: 7th grade, morning sessions; 8th grade afternoon sessions
  • Cost per student: 7th grade $60; 8th grade 100; 7th grade Honor Band Students $50
  • Place:  BA Freshman Academy
  • Who is eligible to attend (grades/ages): all band students currently 6th and 7th grades.

  • Food details (lunch served/snacks/bring your own): none, sessions are before lunch and after lunch
