District to administer state required ACT at no cost to juniors April 10

Broken Arrow Public Schools juniors will take the ACT exam on Wednesday, April 10. Juniors from Broken Arrow High School, BA Options Academy, Virtual Academy, Vanguard Academy and Early College High School will take all assessments online during the school day at the BAHS campus.

Students at the following sites will be Distance Learning on April 10:

  • BAHS: All sophomores and seniors
  • BA Options Academy: All freshmen, sophomores and seniors
  • ECHS:  All freshmen, sophomores and seniors
  • Vanguard Academy: All freshmen, sophomores and seniors

Students will need to charge their school issued Chromebook to full capacity the night before and will need to bring a power cord. Tests will take approximately five hours to complete, and many Chromebooks will not last this long. Extension cords will be provided for students to plug in their Chromebooks. 

Students do not need to bring a calculator and will be able to use the online calculator. However, if a student would like to use a handheld calculator, they will need to bring an approved ACT calculator on test day.

ACT provides students with ACT resources on their website, which includes information on preparing for the ACT, setting up MyACT Account, tips for taking the ACT and practice tests. In addition, practice test in English and Spanish can be downloaded here.
