2021-2022 high school enrollment information
High school enrollment will take place from Tuesday, Feb. 16 through Wednesday, Feb. 24 during the school day.
During those dates, students will be in the process of choosing their courses for the upcoming school year with their current teachers during class time. The instructions and completion of the enrollment process will take place during their advisory class. English, math, history, science, and elective teachers will make course recommendations for each of their students during class time. These teacher recommendations will serve as the beginning point for students and parents to evaluate, discuss and make the final decision about course requests for next school year.
The 2021-22 high school course planning guide can be reviewed for a list of offered courses. To help select appropriate courses, the students can download the following high school graduation checklist from the State Department's website:
Current unofficial transcripts are now available in each student's Home Access Center (HAC) account. A review of the transcript will assist students and parents in seeing what courses students have successfully completed so that they can better plan what students still need to take in order to satisfy graduation requirements while exploring their own individual interests. Additionally, enrollment videos can be viewed on the district's Youtube channel to help students and parents become more familiar with the wide variety of high school academic courses.
Once students have made their course selections, parents will be able to review the requests by logging in to their child’s HAC on Thursday, Feb. 25 and Friday, Feb. 26. Parents who agree with their child’s choices and have no further questions may simply respond to an email from their child’s advisory teacher and let them know that they agree with their child’s course selections and do not need a conference. Parents who have questions about course selections, please contact your child’s counselor to schedule a conference. Counselors will be visiting with their students individually March 1 through March 12 and March 22 through March 31.
Parents of Broken Arrow Virtual Academy students, please look over the Virtual Enrollment Process and complete the 3 steps prior to contacting your child’s counselor. Counselors will be scheduling conferences for their virtual students during our Individual Career Academic Plan (iCAP) nights on Thursday, March 4 and Tuesday, March 9. Visit the counselor corner webpage in order to contact your child’s counselor. Please note that the current senior counselors will be the counselors for next year’s sophomores.
If you have any questions, please contact Kristy Smith, Assistant Principal, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
