Calling all current sophomores: Want to earn your associate degree while still in high school?

Applications are now being accepted for current sophomores to apply to the district’s Dual Credit to College Degree program at Early College High School. This program is open to all 10th graders and provides an opportunity for students to earn an associate degree at the same time that they are completing high school. The deadline to submit the online application (link listed below) is Feb. 28.

This partnership between Broken Arrow Public Schools and Tulsa Community College allows students to attend college beginning after their 10th grade year. Students enrolled in Early College High School, Broken Arrow High School, the Virtual Academy or the Options Academy are eligible to apply.

To be eligible to enroll at Tulsa Community College, students must have a three semester 3.0 unweighted GPA OR a 990 overall score on their PSAT. If students do not currently possess either of these criteria, they should enroll for a weekend SAT or ACT test. To register for the March 13 SAT, students can register at http://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/sat/register. Students on the free/reduced lunch list may pick up an SAT fee waiver from the BAHS College & Career office or email mamiler@baschools.org. The deadline to register for the March 13 SAT exam is Feb. 12.
