Board of Education names several key administrators at recent meetings

The Broken Arrow Public Schools Board of Education recently named several key administrators to serve in leadership positions across the district. 

Ashley Bowser - Chief Technology Officer 

Ashley Bowser spent five years serving as both an assistant principal and a building principal in two different middle schools within the district. In 2018, he was named the executive director of information services, where he oversaw enrollment, student information, applications and the district’s accreditation process. In 2020, he was named chief technology officer where he oversees student data, enrollment services, the district’s network and instructional technology.

Amanda Summers - Executive Director of Information Services

Amanda Summers has served as a high school teacher, executive director of project management, chief communications officer, assistant principal at the Broken Arrow Freshman Academy and a grade level principal at Broken Arrow High School. As the executive director of information services, Ms. Summers will oversee all data associated with the student information system, state reporting, districtwide software applications and student transcripts starting June 1.

Grant Moore - Executive Director of Transportation

Grant Moore has served as an assistant principal and director of facilities for Broken Arrow Public Schools. As the executive director of transportation, Mr. Moore will oversee the daily operations at transportation including, staff, equipment and training. Additionally, he will assist site principals with their routine transportation needs and concerns. 

Kristin Henness - Executive Director of Teaching and Learning

Kristin Henness has served as an early childhood teacher, assistant principal, principal and currently serves as the director of early childhood programs. Her new position will continue to include early childhood programs and B&A Connections, but will also expand to include instructional coaches and all teachers in the classroom. Ms. Henness' start date will be July 1 for the new 2020-2021 school year.

Rosalyn Vann-Jackson - Executive Director of Enrollment and Support Services 

Rosalyn Vann-Jackson has served as an assistant director of transportation. As the executive director of enrollment and support services, Ms. Vann-Jackson will oversee the enrollment of all new students to the district as well as residency verification for all returning students. She will also oversee transportation issues.

Jason Jedamski - Director of the Innovations Academy

Jason Jedamski has served as an AP biology and chemistry teacher, an assistant principal at Bentonville High School in Arkansas, the director of student life and activities at Broken Arrow High School and most recently as an educational consultant. He is returning to Broken Arrow Public Schools to lead the students and staff of the district's new Innovation Academy, which is expected to open for the 2021-22 school year. 

Beth Gilbert - Broken Arrow Freshman Academy Principal

Beth Gilbert has served as a teacher, assistant principal at Sequoyah Middle School and Broken Arrow Freshman Academy, and lead principal at the Freshman Academy. She retired for a year before deciding to return to once again lead the students and staff at the Freshman Academy. Ms. Gilbert's start date is June 1.
