Retired Broken Arrow teachers who would like to become a substitute
In honoring the service of Broken Arrow retired teachers wanting to substitute for the district, Broken Arrow Public Schools is allowing these individuals to bypass the regular substitute process if they meet the following requirements:
- separated within at least a three-year period
- at least 10 total years of service at Broken Arrow Public Schools
If you meet the above requirements and have completed fingerprints for employment with Broken Arrow Public Schools, then no further fingerprint action is required.
If you meet the above requirements and have never been fingerprinted for employment with Broken Arrow Public Schools, you will be required to complete fingerprints, however, the $55 fee will be waived.
Broken Arrow retired teachers have the option to attend a substitute workshop that provides in-depth details about pay, basic substitute procedures, and the full functions and use of their new substitute AESOP account. If individuals choose not to attend, a copy of the slideshow can be printed upon request.
All individuals will still be required to schedule a meeting with the substitute coordinator to complete necessary employment.
