Pre-K developmental screening to take place Aug. 19 and Aug. 20

First day for Pre-K students is Aug. 23

Every Pre-K student will receive a developmental screening on Monday, Aug. 19 or Tuesday, Aug. 20 at Liberty Elementary before the start of the 2019-20 school year.

Screening appointments can be made by contacting Liberty at 918-259-4470.

These screenings will last about an hour to complete the screening and for parents to complete school forms. The screening will focus on five areas of development, including gross motor (how they walk/skip/throw/crawl), fine motor (how they use their fingers), social skills (understanding feelings), cognitive skills (shapes/colors) and language (speaking and understanding).

The gathered information will help our school administrators make decisions about the student’s class placement and his/her needs.

The first day of school for Pre-K students is Aug. 23, which is two days following the rest of the district.
