Broken Arrow Public Schools is hosting a new awards ceremony specifically to celebrate its retirees and service award recipients. The Pinnacle Awards will take place Tuesday, April 16, at the Broken Arrow Performing Arts Center. Light refreshments will be served at 4:30 p.m., and the ceremony will take place at 5 p.m. The event will be open to the public.

“In the past, we’ve honored these individuals during our Teacher of the Year gala. This year, we wanted to do something different,” Associate Superintendent of Student Services Chuck Perry said. “These employees deserve to be recognized at the highest level during a separate ceremony. They’ve given so much of their time and passion to our district throughout the years, and it’s only appropriate to let them know how much we appreciate them.”

During the Pinnacle Awards, a number of retirees and service award honorees who have contributed 10 or more years of service will be recognized for the positive impact they’ve made throughout their career.
