Ninth grade CPR instruction scheduled for March 23 and 24

According to State Law, known as the “Dustin Rhodes and Lindsay Steed CPR Training Act", all students enrolled in grades nine through twelve in the public schools of this state shall receive instruction in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and awareness of the purpose of an automated external defibrillator, at least once between ninth grade and graduation from high school.

In order to fulfill this requirement, the Freshman Academy is providing training to all 9th graders on March 23 and 24, through their science classes. We believe it is important and advantageous to provide this training now so this requirement is met early in a student’s high school career.

If you DO NOT want your child to participate, please submit your objection in writing by Friday, March 12 to Nurse Dale (bdale@baschools.org) at the Freshman Academy.
