How do I report an absence?
Please call the school by 9:30 a.m. at 918.259.4510 to report your child's absence.
What is the school policy on visitors?
Safety dictates that all visitors must report to the main office. Office personnel will contact the classroom teacher for you. No student will be released directly from the classroom. Parents must sign their child(ren) in and out during regular school hours.
What are the school hours?
8:55 a.m. - 3:40 p.m. Students may arrive at 8:30 a.m. and wait in the front foyer hallway area until 8:40 a.m. Students may enter the cafeteria at 8:30 a.m. for breakfast. Morning announcements begin at 8:55 a.m. Classes are dismissed at 3:40 p.m. Car riders must be picked up by 3:50 p.m..
What about the Four Year Old/Pre-Kindergarten Program?
The morning session is from 8:55 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. and the afternoon session begins at 1:00 PM and ends at 3:40 p.m. Please do not drop off your child any earlier than 8:30 a.m. for the morning session and 12:45 p.m. in the afternoon session.
What is the school's policy on tardiness?
School begins promptly at 8:55 a.m. If your child arrives after that time, he/she is considered tardy and must check into the attendance office before reporting to his/her classroom. To insure classroom continuity, it is vitally important that your child be on time for school each day.
What is the morning classroom routine?
Teachers are expected to greet each child as he/she enters the classroom each morning in order to set up a welcoming and positive classroom environment for the day. Each child deserves to be greeted in the same manner and have the teacher's full attention and assistance to get settled in for a successful school day of learning. This is not an appropriate time to conference with the teacher.
How do I contact my child's teacher?
Call the main office at 918.259.4510 and leave a message for the teacher to return your call. After regular hours, you may call the same number and follow the directions to leave a voicemail. Teacher plan times are another good time to contact the teacher. These times are:

What times are meals served in the cafeteria and what is the cost?
The school cafeteria serves breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 8:50 a.m. each morning. Breakfast is $.85 and lunch costs $1.60. Extra milk costs $.35. Visitor lunches are $3.00. The lunch times are:

What if my child gets ill?
Parents of students with a temperature over 100 degrees will be contacted and asked to pick up their child. Children should be fever-free for 24 hours before returning to school.
How do I notify the school if my child has a change in transportation home?
If during the school day you need to let your child know that he/she needs to go home a different way, please call the office by 3:00 PM. The Transportation Department prohibits students from riding on buses other than their regular one. Also, students must get off at their assigned bus stops. If you have any questions regarding bus issues, please contact the Transportation Department at 918.259.4550.
Can I send a balloon or flower bouquet to my child at school?
Yes, however the student will not receive them until the end of the school day and balloons and flowers are not permitted in the classrooms or on the buses. It is best to have these delivered at your home.
What is the school's policy on field trips/permission slips?
If a sack lunch is required, students may bring soda drinks on a field trip. A permission slip must be signed and returned or the student will NOT be permitted to go on the trip. No last minute phone calls to parents will be made.
How often should I check my child's backpack?
Ask your child to show you the contents of his/her backpack in order to check for flyers, newsletters, and work assignments. Fourth and fifth graders have daily assignment notebooks for you to check each day for assignments and their progress of work. This is also an excellent communication tool!
What is an SRO Police Officer Liaison?
Each campus is assigned a police officer who will periodically drop by the building and have lunch with the students and staff to establish relationships. They are available to assist with any situation that may arise during the school hours. Our SRO Police Officer Liaison for Wolf Creek is Leon Calhoun.
What are the school's disaster drill procedures?
Your child's safety is our primary concern. State law mandates periodic practice of fire and tornado drills. We also have procedures in place for a lock down, if necessary. When there is a lockdown, whether a drill or not, no one will be allowed into the building until the lockdown is cancelled.
