The district has two primary, advertised Wi-Fi networks: 1) BAPS_GUEST and 2) BAPS_GUEST_STAFF:

Any personally owned device.

  • Students
  • Parents
  • Visitors
  • Laptops

  • Mobile Devices

 

No user ID or password required. Does requires the end user to agree to terms and conditions. 

 

 

 

  • Internet access only. 
  • CIPA (Child Information Protection Act) compliant.  
  • Access to the district’s internal local area network is restricted for security / virus protection purposes. 
  • The district does not manage, secure, or support an employee’s personally owned devices.
  • Limited Bandwidth - performance may be slower.

BAPS_GUEST_STAFF

Staff personally owned device only.

 

  • Laptops
  • Tablet
  • Mobile Devices

Requires BAPS user ID and password. 

 

 

  • Internet access only.
  • Access to the district’s internal local area network is restricted for security / virus protection purposes. 
  • Not intended for student use and not CIPA (Child Information Protection Act) compliant.
  • Bandwidth is not limited.

Q: Can a BAPS student, parent, or any visitor connect to the district’s Wi-Fi network using a personally owned device?

A: Yes, connect by using the BAPS_GUEST SSID.

  • Shutdown / restart the device before connecting.

If asked, “Trust” the network.
